8-Foot Prestained Japanese Cedar Fence Replacement in Frisco, TX

Another beautiful Frisco Fence project is complete! For this Frisco, Texas homeowner, our crew replaced approximately 187 linear feet of fencing with a new 8-foot-tall prestained Japanese Cedar fence.

The homeowner selected a side-by-side fence design finished in a Pecan/Medium Brown color. The result is a clean, classic North Texas fence that provides privacy while giving the property a fresh, finished appearance.

Built for North Texas

A great-looking fence is important, but what is underneath it matters just as much. For this project, we installed 2 3/8-inch galvanized steel posts with .095-gauge walls, spaced approximately 6 feet apart and set approximately 36 inches into the ground with concrete.

The fence was constructed using:

  • 1x6x8 prestained Japanese Cedar pickets
  • 2x4 Japanese Cedar horizontal rails
  • 2x6 pressure-treated pine kickboard
  • 1x4 Japanese Cedar top trim
  • Galvanized nails
  • Heavy-duty steel post brackets and hardware

The combination of cedar lumber, steel posts, and proper installation gives this fence the strength it needs to handle the changing North Texas weather.

Two New Gates

This project also included two new hinge gates built to coordinate with the new fence. Each gate was finished with black hardware, three hinges, a two-way locking latch, and a handle.

Gates are one of the hardest-working parts of any fence, which is why proper construction and hardware are especially important for preventing sagging and alignment problems over time.

Why We Use Japanese Cedar

Prestained Japanese Cedar has become a popular option for Frisco-area homeowners who want the appearance of cedar at a competitive price point. The factory-applied stain provides a beautiful, consistent finish from day one while helping protect the lumber from exposure to the elements.

The Pecan/Medium Brown finish used on this project complements a wide variety of North Texas homes and landscaping styles.

Backed by Our 10-Year Warranty

This new fence is backed by the Frisco Fence 10-Year Warranty, which includes coverage for issues such as cracked, warped or split lumber, missing knot holes, leaning posts, rusting, defective hinges and latches, defective hardware, and sagging gates.

We believe a new fence should be more than something that looks good on installation day. It should be built correctly and supported after the project is complete.
