Frisco Fence Project Spotlight: Western Red Cedar Board-on-Board Fence Replacement in Frisco, TX

Another beautiful fence replacement completed by Frisco Fence in Frisco, Texas!

For this project, the homeowner wanted to replace their existing fence with a clean, durable design that complemented the home and provided long-term privacy. We installed approximately 58 linear feet of 6-foot-tall, unstained Western Red Cedar fencing in a board-on-board style, along with a new gate.

Built with Western Red Cedar

Western Red Cedar is a great choice for homeowners looking for a premium natural wood fence. The warm cedar tones look beautiful immediately after installation and give the homeowner the option to choose their preferred stain color later.

This fence included:

  • 1x6 Western Red Cedar pickets
  • 2x4 Western Red Cedar rails
  • 1x4 Western Red Cedar top trim
  • 2x8 Western Red Cedar top cap
  • 2x6 pressure-treated kickboards
  • A new gate with three hinges
  • Boxed steel posts for a more finished appearance

Behind the cedar are 2 3/8-inch steel posts, spaced approximately six feet apart and set 36 inches deep in concrete for strength and stability.

A Clean, Finished Look

The combination of the board-on-board pickets, top trim, top cap and kickboard gives this fence a much more finished appearance than a basic privacy fence. The final result provides privacy while creating a polished backdrop for the homeowner's yard.

And because the cedar was installed unstained, the natural variations and grain of the Western Red Cedar really stand out.

Backed by Frisco Fence

This project is also protected by our 10-Year Warranty, which includes coverage for issues such as cracked, warped or split lumber, missing knot holes, leaning posts, rusting, defective gate hinges and latches, hardware, and sagging gates.

If you're considering replacing an aging fence in Frisco or the surrounding North Texas area, Frisco Fence can help you choose the right fence style, cedar and upgrades for your property.
