Beautiful Western Red Cedar Fence Replacement in Frisco, TX

Beautiful Western Red Cedar Fence Replacement in Frisco, TX

If you’re looking to upgrade your backyard privacy and boost curb appeal, this recent fence replacement in Frisco is a perfect example of how the right materials and craftsmanship can completely transform a property.

Project Overview

For this project, we replaced an existing fence at a home in Frisco, TX with a brand-new 170 linear foot, 6-foot tall board-on-board Western Red Cedar fence, pre-stained in a rich Ready Seal Pecan tone.

The goal was simple: create a durable, long-lasting fence that not only provides privacy but also enhances the overall look of the outdoor space.

Premium Materials & Design

This fence was built using Western Red Cedar, one of the best materials available for fencing thanks to its natural resistance to rot, insects, and weathering.

Key features of this build included:

  • Board-on-board design for full privacy and a clean, upscale look
  • Pre-stained lumber to ensure consistent color and long-term protection
  • Triple top cap trim (2x6 cap with 1x2 and 1x4 trim) for a polished finish
  • 2x6 pressure-treated kickboards to protect against ground moisture
  • Three horizontal rails for added strength and durability
  • Two custom-built gates with upgraded hardware

We also reused the existing steel posts, which helps maximize structural integrity while keeping the project efficient and cost-effective.

Built for Strength & Longevity

A fence is only as strong as its structure. That’s why we made sure every detail was dialed in:

  • Secure fastening with galvanized nails
  • Heavy-duty brackets and steel lags
  • Reinforced gate hardware with 3-hinge systems
  • Re-cementing an existing post in the retaining wall for added stability

We also installed no-climb rails to meet local pool code requirements, ensuring both safety and compliance.

Clean Look, Maximum Privacy

The board-on-board style not only looks great from both sides, but it also eliminates gaps, giving the homeowner:

  • Full backyard privacy
  • Reduced visibility through the fence
  • A more finished, high-end appearance

Paired with the warm pecan stain, this fence ties beautifully into the surrounding landscape and architecture.
