Black Steel Fence & Cedar Enclosures Installation in Creekside Estates – Lucas, Texas

We recently completed a beautiful custom fence project in the Creekside Estates neighborhood in Lucas, an area where we have proudly completed many fence installations over the years.

Lucas has specific fencing requirements, including 50% visibility standards, which is why black steel fencing is one of the most popular and practical options in this community. For this project, we installed a 5-foot-tall flat-top, flat-bottom black steel fence, powder-coated for long-term durability and a clean, modern appearance. The fence was fully built to pool code and all permits were obtained and approved through the City of Lucas.

Why We Use Brackets Instead of Welding

One important detail that sets this project apart is how the steel fence was assembled. Instead of welding the panels on site, the fence was installed using high-quality brackets.

Welded steel fences require grinding and welding in the field, which breaks the powder-coat finish. Once that protective coating is compromised, rust can begin to form at every weld point over time. By using brackets, the powder coating remains intact, significantly reducing the risk of rust and extending the overall life of the fence. This approach allows the fence to stay stronger, cleaner, and better looking for years to come.

Custom Cedar Enclosures for a Finished Look

In addition to the steel fencing, this project included custom wood enclosures designed to blend functionality with curb appeal:

  • Trash Can Enclosure
  • Pool Equipment Enclosure

These enclosures were built using 6-foot board-on-board Western Red Cedar fencing, complete with:

  • 2x6 pressure-treated kickboard
  • Western Red Cedar top cap

All cedar was pre-stained with Wood Defender Premium Oil-Based Stain in Oxford Brown, providing both protection and a rich, timeless color that complements the black steel fence beautifully.

Built to Last with a 10-Year Warranty

The entire project is backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty, giving the homeowner peace of mind knowing their fence was built correctly, safely, and to code.

Proud to Serve Creekside Estates

It has truly been a pleasure working not only with this homeowner, but with so many residents throughout Creekside Estates. We are grateful for the trust this community continues to place in us and look forward to completing many more fence projects in Lucas in the future.

If you’re considering a black steel fence, cedar privacy fencing, or custom enclosures in Lucas or surrounding areas, we would love the opportunity to help.
