New Side-by-Side Cedar Fence Replacement Completed in Frisco, TX

At Frisco Fence & Stain, we believe every fence should provide security, curb appeal, and long-term value. We recently completed another beautiful fence replacement project in Frisco, Texas, giving this homeowner a durable, low-maintenance fence built to withstand North Texas weather.

This project included the replacement of 75 linear feet of 6-foot side-by-side fencing with two new gates, using premium pre-stained Japanese cedar and heavy-duty steel posts.

Built with Quality Materials

For this project, we installed:

  • 75 linear feet of 6-foot-tall side-by-side fencing
  • Premium pre-stained Japanese cedar pickets
  • New 2 3/8-inch galvanized steel posts
  • Three 2x4 horizontal rails
  • 1x4 decorative top trim
  • 2x6 pressure-treated kickboards
  • Two custom-built gates
  • Reused the existing steel posts and brackets on the front gate where appropriate

Every material was selected to maximize durability while giving the fence a clean, finished appearance.

Why We Build with Steel Posts

Many fences fail because the wood posts rot at the ground line after years of exposure to moisture.

That's why we install 2 3/8-inch galvanized steel posts on our fence replacements.

Steel posts offer several advantages:

  • Won't rot underground
  • Resist termites and insects
  • Provide greater strength during high winds
  • Help reduce leaning over time
  • Extend the overall lifespan of the fence

When combined with proper concrete footings, steel posts create a much stronger foundation than traditional wood posts.

Premium Pre-Stained Japanese Cedar

This homeowner selected pre-stained Japanese cedar, which offers beautiful natural color while helping protect the wood from North Texas sun and weather from day one.

Benefits include:

  • Rich, uniform appearance
  • Factory-applied stain for consistent coverage
  • Reduced maintenance
  • Excellent dimensional stability
  • Long-lasting curb appeal

The warm stain color pairs perfectly with the brick home and creates an attractive, welcoming backyard.

Kickboards Help Protect Your Investment

A pressure-treated 2x6 kickboard was installed along the bottom of the fence.

Kickboards help protect the cedar pickets from:

  • Lawn equipment
  • Weed eaters
  • Ground moisture
  • Soil contact
  • Everyday wear and tear

If a kickboard ever becomes damaged, it can typically be replaced without replacing the entire fence.

Backed by Our 10-Year Workmanship Warranty

Every qualifying fence replacement we install is backed by our 10-year workmanship warranty, giving homeowners confidence that their investment is protected. The warranty covers items such as leaning posts, sagging gates, defective hardware, rust, and qualifying lumber issues.

Another Beautiful Fence in Frisco

This new fence not only improves privacy and security but also enhances the overall appearance of the property. With premium materials, professional craftsmanship, and a strong foundation, this homeowner can enjoy years of worry-free performance.

If you're considering replacing your fence in Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Prosper, Little Elm, The Colony, or anywhere in North Texas, our team would be happy to help you design a fence that's built to last.
