Premium Board-on-Board Cedar Fence Transformation in Pearson Farms (Frisco, TX)

Premium Board-on-Board Cedar Fence Transformation in Pearson Farms (Frisco, TX)

At Frisco Fence, we take immense pride in transforming backyard spaces across the DFW Metroplex into secure, private, and visually stunning retreats. We recently wrapped up a residential fence replacement project in the highly desirable Pearson Farms neighborhood of Frisco, Texas. This build perfectly showcases how utilizing the right engineering techniques and high-grade materials can completely elevate a property's curb appeal while providing unmatched structural longevity.

The Challenge & Tailored Design

Every home has its own unique landscape dynamics, and this Pearson Farms property was no exception. The backyard featured a combination of standard ground-level boundaries alongside an elevated retaining wall. Rather than employing a one-size-fits-all strategy, our team designed a smart hybrid configuration to maximize both budget efficiency and structural soundness.

For the 50 linear feet running along the existing retaining wall, we safely preserved and re-used the existing structural steel posts. For the remaining 125 linear feet of the yard, we set brand-new, heavy-duty commercial posts deep into the ground, ensuring a cohesive and perfectly leveled perimeter across the entire 175-linear-foot span.

Premium Project Specifications

To deliver a true privacy barrier that looks spectacular from every angle, the homeowners selected an 8-foot-tall, board-on-board architecture built entirely out of pre-stained Japanese Cedar. This specific material is highly regarded for its natural resistance to decay and exceptional dimensional stability in our changing Texas climate.

  • Total Footage & Height:175 Linear Feet | 8 Feet Tall
  • Lumber Selection:1x6x8 Pre-Stained Japanese Cedar Pickets in a beautiful Medium Brown finish
  • Structural Framework:2x4 Japanese Cedar Horizontal Rails
  • Ground Protection:2x6 Pressure-Treated Pine Bottom Kickboard to shield the cedar pickets from soil moisture and weed eaters
  • Finish Trim Packages:An elegant 2x6 Top Cap paired with standard 1x4 architectural trim
  • Post Infrastructure:Commercial-grade 2-3/8" .095GA Steel Posts cemented firmly into the ground with high-strength Maximizer concrete
  • Fasteners & Hardware:Secure 1-3/4" galvanized nails, 2-3/8" Simpson post brackets, and 1-1/2" steel lags

Custom Touches & Professional Finishes

True craftsmanship is always found in the finer details. To soften the linear look of an 8-foot privacy fence, the client requested a custom architectural arch across the top of both custom-built entry gates. Our team meticulously hand-shaped these gates on-site to deliver a clean, sweeping arc that serves as an eye-catching focal point for the entryways.

To complement the rich, pre-stained Medium Brown tone of the cedar wood, each gate was outfitted with premium black-finished hardware, featuring a heavy-duty 3-hinge system, a 2-way locking latch, and an ergonomic matching handle for effortless daily operation.

Built to Stand the Test of Time

Because we never cut corners on engineering, this premium installation is backed by our comprehensive 10-Year Warranty. This industry-leading guarantee gives our clients total peace of mind by covering key structural and material components, including:

  • Cracked, warped, or splitting lumber
  • Missing knot holes
  • Leaning posts or sagging gates
  • Rusting or corrosion of any kind on metal hardware
  • Defective gate hinges and latches
